I just read this article on whether it's ok to breastfeed someone else's baby.
The thought of it is bad enough, the exact circumstances of the exact situation described are worse.
It's a wonder they were friends for 10 years. How could such a person be trusted with someone else's child again after their judgment has shown to be so flawed?

Wow. I had a completely different view upon reading that article! I honestly would have no problem with a friend breastfeeding my baby. That's more natural than cow's milk or formula, but then I find it weird that we drink another creature's milk, let alone eat their meat.
Reading the comments on the article showed that there were many different views on it.

We've discussed this before, and I personally still find the idea a bit freaky (can you tell?). Screened breastmilk is ok.
I was also bothered by the chick's attitude; the not asking; the fact that her friend was only an hour away; the lack of screening etc.
