In the frog pond:

It took me a day to knit this up, so I know the two skeins are more than enough for a vest, but it's far to big. It was so quick to knit up, gotta love those 6mm needles.
The next attempt will have to be minus about 10-15 sts.
In the meantime, I've moved onto another vest - with the remainders of my Espresso Over Brick Sundara

Chronic

I rarely remember my dreams, but I woke up extremely distraught this morning.

I'd had two awful dreams in quick succession. In the first dream, I felt a loose tooth, so I got a bowl to spit it out into. Rather than the one tooth I was expecting, three teeth came out. And then all my other teeth started to fall out too, more teeth than I actually have, just pouring out into the bowl, freaking me out. There were teeth falling outside of teeth, like the Russian babushka dolls

The second dream was having someone explaining that they didn't offer me a job because I wasn't a "top quality worker" or something. It's a rather blury memory now, but it was very wine-speak. I woke up crying. No prizes for what that dream represented.

But it was the teeth dream that still disturbs me the most. So this afternoon, I googled and this was what it said on the the first site:

teeth - Falling out: Loss of control over certain aspects of one's life. Powerlessness, unable to influence things or the outcome of things important. Loss of self-esteem in a situation or a chronic problem.

Like oh my god, am I an open book to my subconscious or what?

Data overload

When I woke up this morning, BD was bursting to tell me how I'd recited a beautiful poem to him in the middle of the night. Apparently, it went something like

I feel like an empty table
And you are like a row of data
No, a column of data
And all the other columns are for data entry

Actually, I tried to explain to him that it was not poetry, but rather a metaphor. I'd had a restless night and he was hogging the bed, and in my dazed state, I was trying to tell him how he should make like a log.

Do you think now that I've gone completely insane or is it just that I've been staring at far too many spreadsheets lately?

Dreaming

Today I rose before the sun.

Being sleepy tired is supposed to result in more sleep, not less.

Last night, I dreampt about waking up from a dream. And then I woke up.

One day, I'll have more inscrutable dreams.

Shampoo

This morning I woke up rather traumatised, wondering if BD had heard my sobbing.

I was in larger version of our bathroom (only apparently in my aunt's house). I reached for my shampoo, only to realise that it wasn't there. It had been replaced with a huge tub of something else, something that foamed but was NOT shampoo. I was so distraught and...betrayed by this switch that I immediately burst into loud uncontrollable tears. BD consoled me in his arms whilst I howled out my hurt and outrage incoherently. Suddenly my grandmother appeared before us. And then so did two of my aunts. The aunts stood there writing letters of apology, but because I was still crying like a banshee and because I wouldn't acknowledge them, they had to leave the letters with my grandmother.

So in my lunch break today, I went shopping.
